Eliza Skenandore is the director of the Oneida Community Library and a citizen of the Oneida Nation. She loves doing raised beadwork to express herself and connect to her heritage. Growing up, she didn’t have someone to teach her. As a librarian, she makes cultural knowledge and traditions accessible to everyone in the community.
The Ways is a series of stories from Native communities around the central Great Lakes. This online educational resource explores connections between traditional ways and those of today. Additional resources can be found at: pbswisconsineducation.org/story/raised-beadwork/
